wwQuiz.js) - not a validated personality
assessment. The individual statements are genuine items from the
International Personality Item Pool (IPIP),
a public-domain personality item bank that Lewis Goldberg and collaborators
released specifically so people could build free, open alternatives to
copyrighted commercial personality tests. Those items are normally rated
individually on a 1-5 agreement scale; here they've been converted into
forced-choice pairs (pick whichever of two statements feels more like you)
to fit this quiz engine's format, which is a real methodological change
from how they were actually validated - so treat your results as a fun
approximation, not a scientific measurement.
Each trait is scored out of the number of times it appeared as a choice (12, for each trait in this quiz). There's no "good" or "bad" score on any of these five traits - each end of each scale comes with its own tradeoffs, and most people land somewhere in the middle on at least a couple of them.
